INPRO/SEAL® Signs Mechanical Sales as USA Master Distributor for the HVAC Market

Rock Island, Illinois, USA — Inpro/Seal, a global leader in engineered bearing and system protection for rotating equipment, has announced the signing of Mechanical Sales as their U.S. master distributor serving the HVAC market. With the Inpro/Seal CDR® (Current Diverter Ring®), Mechanical Sales will add shaft grounding solutions to their product portfolio of HVAC application support. Dwight Vicars, Inpro/Seal’s CDR Product Manager, said that “Mechanical Sales is a perfect fit for Inpro/Seal in the HVAC market. Their extensive application knowledge and customer focus aligns perfectly with our core principles of innovative application solutions, unmatched customer support and superior speed to market.”

According to the company, Inpro/Seal’s CDR increases reliability on motors and coupled equipment by protecting the bearings from harmful VFD (Variable Frequency Drive)-induced shaft currents. Using proprietary conductive filaments, the CDR provides a low impedance path to ground, safely drawing these harmful shaft currents away from the bearings and preventing premature bearing failure.

Paul Bartunek, President of Mechanical Sales KC, Inc., has extensive knowledge of VFD applications through his previous work as VP of HVAC Sales, Marketing and Applications for ABB’s Low Voltage Drives Division. “Inpro/Seal’s unique shaft grounding solutions coupled with their commitment to customer service and quality will prove to be a distinctive and beneficial advantage to customers in the HVAC market and we look forward to establishing a strong network of representation.” said Bartunek.
